Short seminars give the opportunity to meet the teachers and the work-method of ALthattheatre. This introduction will support the student’s online preparation. The participation is not obligatory, but highly recommended. We have scheduled the following 3-day and 6-day seminars:

We will follow the first-come-first-serve-rule and confirm your participation within short time.
2/3 of the Impulse Seminar fee (280 €/ 160 €) will be reduced from your total tuition fee for ALthattheatre.
Application and Contracting
You can apply for ALthattheatre at any time. The first round will close at 15th of December 2019. Those who have applied until this day and are accepted, will receive their contracts before Xmas.
With applicants we did not meet during a seminar we will set up a skype interview. Here you can ask all questions. Both, student and teacher will understand whether the programme is good for you in this moment.
The call for application remains open until the end of February. Just bear in mind, that the places are limited.
Your theatre education with ALthattheatre will be certified by the World Theatre Training Institute and the International Theatre Institute, signed by the artistic director Dr. Jurij Alschitz
You must have completed your online studies, the 40 Days work module which concludes with an exam on the last day.
To ensure the independence and artistic-scientific freedom of this innovative approach, the programme is outside the BA / MA Accreditation System (Bologna System). Instead, students receive their diploma from the Research Center of the ITI, the World Organization of the Performing Arts.
The World Theater Training Institute is a member of the ITI / UNESCO Network for Higher Education in the Performing Arts. The programme receives worldwide attention.
The full course of ALthattheatre lasts 3 months. Intensity and outcome equals to a course of studies of at least one year.
The fee for each month is 800 €, in total 2.400 €.
Method of Payment
Together with the signed contract you will send the first installment of 400 € to the given account. The second installment of 400 € is due before 1st of March 2020; only then you can start with your online studies. The third installment of 800€ is due before 1st of April 2020, and the last is payable until 15th of May 2020. Here, you may deduct your bonus from the Impulse Seminar.
If you withdraw from the contract by 1st of February 2020, 50% (200 €) of the first installment will be refunded, after which the full sum of 400€ remains with the organizer. If the study is canceled after 1st of April, the third installment remains with the organizer or has to be paid. If you cancel your studies after 15th of April, during the practical part in Montecreto, the full course fee is due.
The online training will start on the 1st of March 2020. We will contact you before and ask you to register on our ⇒Hybrid Theatre Training Platform. The communication with your teacher will be in English/German/Italian. You will do your work in your mother tongue.
The teacher will set up with skype meetings, he/she will individually modify and add tasks accoding to your needs and interest.
The 40 Days in Montecreto, Italy
We will work from 15th of April to 27th of May 2020. Your arrival and departure should be one day before and after.
ALthattheatre’s workspace is located in the monastery of Montecreto in the Apennine mountains south of Bologna. Here we find perfect conditions with several indoor and outdoor spaces and the possibility to sleep in the monastery in single, double or triple rooms. A big common kitchen can be used by all of us, individually or to create common meals.
The prices for accommodation in the monastery:
Single: 25 € per day
Double: 15 € per day p.P.
Triple: 12 € per day p.P.
You may book yourself a private apartment in Montecreto. They start from 300 € per week (double bedroom).
Montecreto’s vicinity to both Bologna and Modena means it is easily accessible by flight or train. Further information about transfers to the monastery of Montecreto will be available closer to the date of arrival.
